Beyonc? Dominates Soul Train Awards
It is no surprise that Beyonc? was the big winner at the 2016 Soul Train Awards.
The awards were handed out Nov. 6 in a recorded show that was broadcast last night on BET and Centric.
Queen Bey took home four awards: album of the year for "Lemonade;" best R&B soul/female artist; and song and video of the year, both for "Formation."
The only other multiple winners were Fat Joe and Remy Ma featuring French Montana and Infared. Their track "All the Way Up" took best collaboration and the rhythm & bars award.
Kanye West, nominated in three categories, won a single award -- best dance performance, for "Fade."
But it was Drake who felt the most shade: nominated in four categories -- six if you count his shared nod with DJ Khaled on "For Free" -- Drake went home empty-handed.
The event, hosted by Erykah Badu, featured performances by Eric Ben?t, Mase, Carl Thomas, Wreckx-N-Effect, Guy, Bobby Brown, Blackstreet, Anderson .Paak, Doug E. Fresh, Ro James, D.R.A.M., BJ the Chicago Kid, Yuna, Candice Boyd and MAJOR.
Brandy and Teddy Riley were also honored with the lady of soul and legend awards, respectively.
