Gary Barlow is victim of vile Twitter hack a day after Let It Shine debut
The Take That star had his account hacked, when a foul-mouthed message appeared to his 4.32 million followers.
The now-deleted tweet read: “Die Barlow you c***. A slow and f**kin painful death (sic).”
However, the singer quickly noticed and deleted the offending post, before increasing the security on his account.
Apologising to his fans, Gary wrote: “Drama over. Password changed. Let’s face it, we’ve seen worse!”
His adoring fans leapt to his defence after noticing the awful tweet.
One replied: “what did I just read? What sick twisted jealous people we have in this world. Don't let them get you down...Keep shining xxxx.”
Another added: “Whoever hacked @GaryBarlow's twitter needs to get a life. It's disgusting what you've tweeted & you should be ashamed.”
While a third fan wrote: “@GaryBarlow OH MY GOD!!! Whatever c*** has hacked you needs locking away!”
Just a few hours before the hack, the 45 year old used his account to speak about the launch night of his new talent show with the BBC.
Let It Shine debuted last night, with Gary as the head judge to find five male singers to perform in a tour of Take That: The Musical.
