Lord Alan Sugar undergoes urgent heart surgery while in the US
The Apprentice boss is believed to have had a narrow artery fixed.
The Sun reports that Lord Sugar was enjoying a break in Florida when he underwent the procedure.
He had a tube fitted known as a ‘stent’ - a piece of mesh that improves blood flow.
Lord Sugar’s spokesperson Andrew Bloch denied reports that the 69 year old had suffered a heart attack. He added the Amstrad boss is back to his best and is enjoying his time in Florida.
“He was on the mend within a day and cleared to resume exercise after a week,” he added.
“He’s in perfect medical health and plays tennis and rides his bike for 40 miles regularly.”
Lord Sugar certainly seems to be feeling better after his op, he’s been sharing a number of his daily activities on his social media.
Sharing a snap of himself to his 5.29million followers, he revealed he’d been playing tennis with ex-Wimbledon champion Jimmy Connors.
"I remember when these balls first came out and @ JimmyConnors did this at Wimbledon,” he wrote.
Lord Sugar recently poked fun at his operation when he posted a picture of a giant fried breakfast earlier this year.
