Why Jay Z might CANCEL his first V Festival headline performance

The rapper has never performed at the annual two-day festival at Hylands Park and Weston Park so people are understandably excited.

However, Jay will have just become a father to twins so is he really going to leave Beyoncé on her own in the first few months of their birth?

Beyoncé has already been forced to cancel her headline Coachella sets because of her pregnancy and fans have been demanding a refund.

The singer's due date is expected to be between April and July, and with V Festival taking place at the end of August Jay would have to leave his family at a no doubt stressful time in a parent's life.

Leaving Beyoncé with the newborn twins, who would be just a few months old, and eldest daughter Blue Ivy while he flies across the pond might be something Jay decides against doing.

Why Jay Z might CANCEL his first V Festival headline performance

Considering Bey's pregnancy, there is the question as to why Jay Z would even be considering a headline festival spot in England in the first place.

People think that's down to the rapper releasing new music for the first time in four years.

His last album, Magna Carter Holy Grail, was critically-acclaimed upon its release in 2013 and there has been rumours of new music ever since.

Why Jay Z might CANCEL his first V Festival headline performance

There have been reports that Jay and Bey are teaming up for a joint album as well Jay and Kanye putting their disagreement behind them and releasing a follow-up to 2011's Watch the Throne.

Over the last year, Jay has featured on numerous tracks - most recently DJ Khaled's "Shining" with Beyoncé on vocals - so it seems likely that he's got a new album on the way.
