Adele fires back to trolls who slammed her fashion choice: 'I was working out twice a day to fit into that dress'
Adele’s moving tribute to George Michael at the Grammy’s may have dazzled fans – but it was her outfit that had people talking.
The Hello singer revealed that she got trolled over the emerald green gown she wore to the awards show.
Speaking at her recent gig in Australia, the mum of one said that people likened her appearance to the ogre Princess Fiona in Shrek.
Firing back with her trademark foul mouth, she told the crowd: "Before the Grammys I had this dress right, I wore this green dress, everyone said I looked like Fiona from Shrek.
"I don’t f**king care. It was Givenchy Couture, they can say what they want."
However, she added that she had spent a lot of time and effort working out to fit into the outfit choice.
"I worked out," she continued.
"Obviously I’m a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight.
"I was running a very long time to get fit for this but it never worked."
Adele sang a rendition of the George Michael song Fastlove at the Grammy’s as a tribute to the late singer, who passed away on Christmas Day 2016.
