Adele FINALLY breaks silence on marrying Simon Konecki: 'I can’t fall for someone because I’m married'
The Hello singer broke her silence on their relationship while talking to the audience during a Brisbane gig in Australia about her hit Someone Like You.
"I could see in their eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone and that’s what I wanted to remember," Adele, 28, told fans.
"How it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record, because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth and I am addicted to that feeling.
"Obviously I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person," Adele confirmed to the roaring crowd.
"But that feeling, when you first meet someone and everything about you just feels alive for the first time. I wanted to go back to that."
Adele revealed she had married her long-time beau Simon, who she shares four-year-old son Angelo with, during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year at the Grammys in February.
After five years with the 42-year-old businessman, Adele apparently married over Christmas last year.
"Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you’re the only reason I do it," Adele told the crowd.
After being spotted with a wedding band on her finger late last year, representatives for the singer had "no comment" when asked if she had married Simon.
The chart topper is currently on tour in Australia and recently decided to scrap pyrotechnics after her son was hit in the eye by firework debris.
