Chuck Berry dead: Musician passes away at the age of 90
The musician, best known for his smash hit Johnny B. Goode, was found dead in his home.
St. Charles County Police attended a medical emergency at his Missouri home at 12.40pm on March 18.
After finding the singer unresponsive they administered lifesaving techniques.
Sadly the singer couldn’t be revived and was pronounced dead at 1.26pm.
A police statement was released about the dad of four.
"St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12.40pm today," it read.
"Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques.
"Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m.
"The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.
"The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement."
