Mark Wright launches FOOTBALL career with talks to buy stake in Billericay Town FC
And now it seems the reason behind the pair’s happiness has been revealed, with the The Only Way Is Essex star in talks for an occupational change.
According to The Sun, Mark has been planning the launch of his football career with a 20 per cent state in his local club, Billericay Town FC.
The 30 year old has reportedly been heading down to the ground to check out their facilities as he finalises the details of his involvement.
"Mark has always loved football and is known for being a talented player, but obviously he never quite made it to the big time," A source said told the publication.
"He sees this as a great way to get involved with the sport and hopes to make a real impact.
"They’re very ambitious about where the club could end up."
Mark will also be working alongside his friend Glenn Tamplin, who owns and manages the non-league hopefuls.
"Glenn and Mark have been friends for some time," the source continued.
"Glenn believes having a famous face involved could give the club a publicity boost so he proposed the deal.
"He is a steel magnate worth about £50million so he can certainly afford it."
