New dad Liam Payne congratulates One Direction bandmate Harry Styles on release of his first solo single Sign of the Times and fans go wild
And now, Harry Styles’s former One Direction bandmate and brand new dad Liam Payne has publicly reached out to Harry to congratulate him on the song.
Proving that he’s supportive of 23-year-old Harry’s first solo foray into the musical charts, Liam wrote on Twitter: "Proud of you H. Glad you’re getting to do your own thing."
Fans not only went wild for the public display of friendship from Liam, but also because he referred to Harry simply as 'H'.
Under Liam’s tweet one fan wrote: "Love how supportive you guys are of each other! I really can't wait to see you guys on stage again. We really miss you boys."
Another said "I love supportive best friends", while another dramatically wrote: "My parents haven't spoken in years so this tweet is all I have going for me right now."
Liam himself is going through an exciting time in life, having just welcomed his first child – a boy – with girlfriend Cheryl on Wednesday 22 March.
Liam announced the arrival of the bundle of joy on Twitter, writing: "I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far."
"I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true."
When promoting the release of his new song, Harry said that his former bandmate is taking well to fatherhood.
"I spoke to Liam and he's loving it. He said it's going really well and everyone's great. So I'm very happy for him."
