Kerry Katona admits she is still 'ridiculed' by mental health issues as she praises Prince William and Lady Gaga for bringing attention to stigma

Prince Harry’s brother and The Cure singer discussed what they could do about the issue in a video call – shared on Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account.

And Kerry Katona praised both Prince William and Lady Gaga for using their platform to bring attention to the issue, and confessed she was still "ridiculed" by her illness.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of the pair during their video chat – which was shown on Good Morning Britain – with her 28.5k followers.

Alongside the picture, the 36 year old wrote: "This is great news!! Let's make this happen!!!

"To this day I am still ridiculed by my illness! Mental health if you can't see it you can't understand it! #stigma @gmb."

And fans quickly inundated the mum of five’s post with praise for her honesty.


"Life is so much easier now it is more socially acceptable to not always feel [100] mentally," one commented.

"You are one of the amazing examples of people who can go through tough times but pick yourself up and come out stronger and better than before xxx."

Another said: "He [Prince William] kept very quiet about it... I'm glad he's opened up, hopefully thousands more will now seek the help they deserve, very brave people, you included @kerrykatona7 xx."
