Danniella Westbrook speaks for the FIRST time since heading to rehab for cocaine relapse – and opens up about EastEnders' Dean Gaffney and Patsy Palmer in emotional interview: 'I feel really strong'
The actress, who checked into a facility in Spain nearly a month ago, has given an update on her status since heading for treatment.
43-year-old Danniella seeked help after splitting from her boyfriend George Arnold last year, miscarrying their baby, and relapsing on cocaine.
But now, it seems the brave soap legend is doing much better than weeks previously – and says she’s "having a great time" in rehab.
"I've been here three and a half weeks," she said. "My head is straight, I'm not on any medication, I'm not taking any drugs and I've worked loads on myself.
"And loads on my past issues. All the stuff that I felt I got left with at the end of last year I'm dealing with and I feel strong, I feel really strong.
"I'm happy to be alone and on my own. I'm happy to be doing this but looking forward to seeing my kids in a few weeks and looking forward to getting back to work and all the exciting things I've got coming up.
"I'm in a wonderful place and I'm truly blessed again but thank you one and all for everything."
Danniella even spoke out about fellow EastEnders stars Dean Gaffney – who is returning to the soap – and Patsy Palmer.
Patsy spoke out about her friend on Loose Women, saying: "Danniella Westbrook is so sweet. We all went through our own struggles. It was intense."
And Danielle’s manager responded on social media with: "I’m with Danni now at visiting and she is touched and appreciates your support and send her love."
