Ugo Ehiogu dead: Tottenham Hotspur announces death of footballer after suffering a cardiac arrest aged 44

The former England and Aston Villa defender was in hospital earlier this week after collapsing at Tottenham’s training centre on Thursday April 20.

Tottenham Hotspur tweeted to the 1.94 million followers: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Ugo Ehiogu, our Under-23 coach.”

They added in a statement: “Ugo received immediate treatment after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Training Centre yesterday before being transferred to hospital, where he passed away in the early hours of this morning.”
