Kerry Katona PRAISED for posting honest snapshot into mental health as she continues bid to tackle stigma: 'Bipolar is a b***h!'

The Atomic Kitten star, who recently spoke out in a bid to stop the stigma surrounding mental health, took to the social media site to tell her 489k followers that she was feeling blue because of her bipolar disorder – which she was diagnosed with when she was 25.

The candid snap saw the proud mother laying on a sofa with a frown on her face, seen with no make-up on her face and dressed in a casual hoodie.

The inspirational singer captioned the shot with: "Feeling blue. bi-polar is a b***h!"

And fans in their masses praised the star for her honest snapshot into mental health.

"Know the feeling lovely lady. Chin up xxx," wrote one, while another added: "Sending you big hugs kerry stay strong lovely lady . I know how you feel as suffer with aniexty and depression myself. Xxx."

"Keep on fighting it Kerry love your a tough cookie," while a fourth gushed: "Look at that photo back of you chin up chic Xxx."


Kerry Katona previously praised both Prince William and Lady Gaga for using their platform to bring attention to the issue, and confessed she was still "ridiculed" by her illness.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of the pair during their video chat – which was shown on Good Morning Britain – with her 28.5k followers.

Alongside the picture, the 36 year old wrote: "This is great news!! Let's make this happen!!!

"To this day I am still ridiculed by my illness! Mental health if you can't see it you can't understand it! #stigma @gmb."
