Liam Payne disses Harry Stylesí new song Sign Of The Times as he compares new single Strip That Down to Tyga's Rack City
While he was complimentary about pal Niall Horanís hit, Slow Hands, Liam didnít hold back when it came to Harry Styles' new tune.
Liam said: "I heard the rest of the boysí debut songs. Obviously Niall had Slow Hands out and he had This Town, which is great, and Niallís gone down the singer-songwriter route, which is really cool.Ē
But when asked about Harryís hit, Liam, who recently teased there is an "unreleased" One Direction album, said itís "not his sort of music".
He continued to Music Choice: "Harryís song I heard, and Iíll be honest with you, itís not my sort of music. Itís not something Iíd listen to,
"But I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do. Thatís the way Iíd put it best, I think."
Cherylís boyfriend added: "I think the funny thing is, [Harry] would say the same thing about me because he doesnít really listen to hip-hop music,
"Whereas itís like my songís more Rack City [Tyga song] and his song is more of a different era to something Iíd listen to, I guess."
It comes after Liam revealed in a candid interview with The Sun, that Cheryl tried to break up with him at one stage.
Talking about his forthcoming solo album, Liam said: "Thereís one song that is basically a phone call that happened between me and her when she was about to let it go.
"This is a long time ago. And itís basically me trying to cling on and say, 'No, no, no itís all going to work out, donít worry about it, give it time.'"going to work out, donít worry about it, give it time.'"
