Big Brother’s Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace exclusively opens up about horror troll abuse she gained from revealing she'd tragically had four miscarriages – but was later PRAISED for 'giving strength' to those in similar circumstances
The reality star defended friend Nicola McLean in Celebrity Big Brother, after Kim Woodburn told Nicola to "Grow up, you're a mum."
Nicola responded saying: "And you're not, that's your problem. If you want to go low, I'll go lower," – not realising that Kim had tragically suffered a stillbirth years before.
Aisleyne responded on Twitter about the pair's argument in defence of Nicola, saying: "Trust me, if she knew Kim’s story she wouldn’t have said that because I have the same story and pain as Kim…"
Revealing her own devastation, she went on to say: "I'm hurt because the pain is palpable for me as I have lost 4 babies... that pain is the deepest pain I could ever feel so would not defend anyone if they belittled it but I genuinely do not believe that Nicola knew of Kim's story."
But months on, Aisleyne – who is often open and honest on social media – has exclusively revealed that she was met with a barrage of "hurtful" abuse from cruel trolls for sticking up for her friend.
But more importantly, she received masses of support from those who had been in a similar, heartbreaking situation.
"With the babies - that was really, really hurtful," she exclusively told OK! Online. "It wasn’t me in Big Brother arguing, I was just trying to stick up for a friend at the time."
She confessed: "To get the backlash and have to re-live a lot of painful memories wasn’t nice."
Saying that people should think before they Tweet, Aisleyne positively added: "To be honest, to every five bad, there was 500 good, and that’s what you have to keep your mind set on.
"The amount of DM’s I got saying ‘Thankyou for sharing’ and ‘I’ve just been through the same’ and ‘You give me strength’ – that’s what I really pay attention to more than any negatives or hate."
