Charlotte Church SNUBBED from Liverpool festival as her act is pulled from the line-up at the last minute – in first public appearance since announcing her tragic miscarriage
The singer was set to perform at the Hope and Glory Festival in Liverpool, but her Late Night Pop Dungeon act was pulled at the last minute duo to overcrowding. It was her first public appearance since her tragic miscarriage.
According to the Liverpool Echo, bands were forced to stop performing for two hours after overcrowding – and Charlotte’s act was pulled completely.
Charlotte Church told the ECHO: "We've come all the way up from Cardiff this morning and we were supposed to be going on at 4.45pm.
"Then obviously something had gone wrong with the organisation now the festival is running two hours behind so they've pulled our set which we're gutted about.
"We've come all of the way up here and we really wanted to perform and I haven't performed in Liverpool in a long long time.”
She then revealed she still wanted to perform in Liverpool, despite the news.
She added: "So currently we're seeing if we can find anywhere else for a gig I know there are lots of disappointed people outside who haven't been let in to the festival.
"The scenes that I've seen outside are people shouting let us in!
"Currently we're trying to find venues that will let us play - we still want to play for the people of Liverpool we'll wait here for an hour to see if anyone wants us!"
The Cardiff-born star had only told fans she was pregnant with her partner Jonathan Powell's baby on Sunday 28 May, as she performed at Birmingham Pride.
